Southend is set to celebrate its first-ever City Day on Saturday 1st March 2025, marking the anniversary of Southend being granted city status in 2022. This landmark event will honour the city’s unique heritage, cultural diversity, and the efforts of the late Sir David Amess MP, whose advocacy was instrumental in securing Southend’s city status.

We’re inviting performers, community, cultural and faith groups, schools & colleges and local food and drink vendors to run activities and to showcase their talent, creativity, and passion at the event, which will be spread across Southend High Street and seafront.

So, whether you're an artist looking to perform, a group eager to engage with the community, or a vendor offering delicious food, this is your chance to be part of a celebration that brings the city together and highlights the best of Southend!
