Becoming confident with your communication skills
10.00 am to 2.00 pmTaking place as part of the A Better Start Southend Festival of Conversations taking place across Southend from 12-26 October for families with children up to 4-years-old, and early years’ professionals.
Pre-booking required.
This inspiring session sits under the umbrella of Food, Diet and Nutrition, Mental Health and well-being and Arts and Creativity. The whole family can benefit from discussions around using different, positive communication and active listening to best promote ourselves and build good relationships within our community.
We often make our best connections through our passions, while engaging in creative activities. If you are open to sharing a little something about yourself, sharing your cultural or personal relationship with food and expressing your creativity through craft making, this session is for you. A simple lunch will be followed by an introduction to the Food Club, where you can sign up to receive Food Boxes and share recipes for the items inside that demonstrate our personal and shared histories.
Accessible parking, toilet and baby changing facilities are available. Please don’t forget to pre-register for this session.
Please note all Festival of Conversations may have a photographer and videographer present to capture the session. There will be an option to opt-out of any media consent upon arrival at the session.
