The Seafood Shack

We are a friendly Seafood Shack, with a bar and grill situated on the Eastern Esplanade of Southend Seafront.

We specialise in fresh and tasty seafood both hot and cold as well as catering for non-fish eaters.  Our diverse hot menu consists of meat, vegetarian and vegan options.  Gluten free dietary requirements are also catered for. We pride ourselves on producing great quality fresh food prepared and cooked to order. Our customers also love trying the different dishes available on our weekly special’s board.

We are extremely excited and pleased to provide our premium tapped beer selection and our fantastic wine list, which has been specially selected to enhance our dishes. All of our food can be taken away, however we recommend our customers eat in and enjoy the full shack experience.

Sandy and Wendy are lifelong  friends who decided to go into business a few years ago when they bought The Seafood Shack.  Wendy’s passion for cooking and Sandy’s Passion for eating was the perfect recipe for a fantastic partnership. Their husbands are closely involved in the business and are a great support both in front of house and behind the scenes.

In 2022 they decided to expand their thriving seafood business to the newly named “city” of Southend-on-Sea. They renovated a Public house to provide not only great food but a great venue for a whole shack experience and great place to be on the seafront.
