Introducing the Night Sky
This show provides a good introduction to space for all beginners to Astronomy. Our presenters will give a brief overview of the Solar System, the history, science, and mythology of the stars and show the learn how to find North using the night sky. Learn about different constellations as they will be on that night and how to find them!
Stories in the Sky
In this special Planetarium show we explore the stories in the sky passed down to us from the ancients. Taking you through a changing sky over the course of a year. This show is also suitable for younger children, for ages 5years+.
Exploring the Moon
Uncover the secrets of the Earth’s moon in this special planetarium show. Learn about the myths and legends associated with it, alongside fascinating facts that will make you think twice the next time you look up at the Moon.

All planetarium shows apart from “Stories in the Sky” is for 7years+. Whereas Stories in the Sky is for ages 5 years+. The planetarium shows run for around 45 minutes each and must be booked in advance by calling our Central Museum during our opening hours (Wednesday-Sunday, 11am – 5pm). All tickets are £8.
