A festive concert featuring Southend Band & Alumnae

Kick-start your festive celebrations with a joyous, crowd-pleasing programme featuring Southend-on-Sea’s popular brass band and Alumnae, generally regarded as the finest choir of young female voices in the County (and beyond).

Admission to Leigh Wesley Methodist Church on Saturday 14th December is just £10 and accompanied young children will be admitted free (whilst space remains available). Note the early start! The choristers are all past-pupils of St Bernard’s High School Chamber Choir and each member is a soloist in her own right. Their musical director is Hilary Pell, acknowledged as one of the finest and most charismatic choral trainers in the South East. You can find out more about Alumnae on their Facebook page.

After the concert there will be an opportunity to mingle with the performers and enjoy a mince pie and a warming cuppa.

The most convenient parking will be behind the Community Centre and Police Station, in Elm Road. The small church car park will be reserved for Blue Badge holders.
