Situated just off the A127, The Saxon King is a perfect place to eat out in Southend-on-Sea. Named after of a Saxon royal burial discovered near Priory Park, which the pub overlooks.
The impressive menu of pub classics is served alongside a main event of Red Tractor farm-assured rotisserie chicken, freshly prepared and seasoned in house and flame-roasted in traditional rotisserie. Also, the curries are made from tender rotisserie chicken, or created with roasted vegetables and rich, spicy flavours.
The menu celebrates everything that’s great about the British pub meal. Also, younger guests are well cared for, with an outdoor children’s play area and an indoor play zone.
