ForwardMotion want to bring people of all ages together to show just how fun and useful active travel can be. So, join them at Belfairs Park for the ForwardMotion Cycling and Active Travel Festival on the 25th June 2022. Showcasing all the ways that can help you find the fun in active travel!
ForwardMotion will be bringing the active travel community closer together by introducing new ways to travel, learn new skills and hobbies as well as having fun and celebrating your local community.
There will be a plethora of active travel activities to take part in. Including the North Shore Cycle Track, a walking treasure hunt via Essex Wildlife points of interest in Belfairs Woods, a treasure hunt on wheels as well as having live music performances throughout the day, artisan trade stands and delicious food and drink.
If you want to arrive in style, join in by taking part in the Tweed Ride! Starting at Southchurch Park and cycling along and around the seafront, you’ll meet everyone else at the festival! If you would like to take part in this fabulous ride, email your interest to forwardmotion@southend.gov.uk
The festival will play host to the local school’s Active Travel Challenge where you will be able to see the best cyclists our schools have competing against each other in a static cycle time trial final.
