Come and join artist Damien Robinson for a fun, free light painting workshop as part of Southend City Jam festival!
Create your own Light Painting!
Light painting is long-exposure photography using lights to create patterns and shapes, and add effects into the image. In your workshop session, you will work collaboratively, creating light patterns in front of specially adapted equipment which will capture the moving light tools.
Damien uses a process with lower lighting – not blackout – and will bring a selection of light tools she has created for you to try out. After the workshop, we will email you a digital copy of the images you make. A BSL interpreter will be working with Damien during the workshops.
These workshop sessions are aimed at ages 8 and above. Young people under 18years should be accompanied by an adult. Accompanying parents/carers are welcome to join in too!
