Old Leigh is a fantastic place not only for history but for the local economy with its 1000 year old fishing industry. The Sailing Club, Sea Scouts, Motor Boat Club and Yacht Club all provide an educational welcome to Old Leigh. The Old Town also has a number of pubs and restaurants which are very popular among locals and tourists alike!
Going east from the Old Town is the Cinder Path which provides a wonderful waterside walk to Chalkwell. Walking along the Cliffs provides a panoramic view of the Estuary and the Kent coast is quite visible on a clear day.
